Olena Polishchuk (Research Fellow)

Olena has a Master’s degree in Public Administration and more than 15-year experience of working in the civil service. She worked as a case manager (social work and employment support) for the international project ‘Training, Economic Empowerment, Assistive Technologies, and Medical/ Physical Rehabilitation Services’ funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). 

She has a wealth of project-specific work and has been involved in the running of the following projects: 

 

- ‘Advocacy for the Rights of Women and Girls with Disabilities, Capacity Development and Extending Access to Public Services’. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of public organizations led by women with disabilities and women leaders to defend their rights and to conduct advocacy campaigns (2020 - ongoing). 

- ‘Expanding Employment Opportunities for Internally Displaced Persons with Disabilities', supported by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) (November - December 2016). 

 

- International project ‘Strengthening Rehabilitation Services in the Health Care System’, funded by the United States Agency for International Development USAID - awareness campaign (2019-2022). 

 

She has several publications in scientific journals based on her research undertaken during her postgraduate studies at the Kharkiv Regional Institute of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine.
